History
Established in 2002
This iconic Fifth Avenue building was constructed in the 1920's as the Fifth Avenue Hotel. The Glaziers and architect David Rockwell, collaborated to restore the ballroom to its natural beauty. Some of the restoration details include restoring the terracotta floor, refinishing the iron railings that surround the sunken dance floor and recasting the rosettes that are part of the intricate ceiling motif. The original gold moldings were also reproduced to create the drama that existed during the glamorous era. Lining the windows of Fifth Avenue are custom glass panels encased with leaves that reference the neighboring Washington Square Park.
